Urban Fabric (2024 – ongoing)
This project is exploring the way people interact with the built environment. The photos examine urban materialities and wholes, as well as the literal contact between people and the city.In the project, I juxtapose photos from urban environments with photos of sculptures made from scraps and materials found in the city. I attempt to approach and consider the city in a variety of ways: As a container for everyday life; as a collection of materials; as something our bodies must be shielded from, and vice versa.
This project is a work in progress; I am making works for it in various cities and surroundings. I have previously made works for the project in several European cities, and selected works have been exhibited in Berlin in 2024.
